So it was summer of 6th grade, and me and my two friends (Vicky and Julianne) wanted a thrill. Also we were trying to find Vicky’s lost cats. Vicky suggested that we check out this old Victorian looking house that was abandoned in the next neighborhood over. Considering that it was close to sunset, I got a little uneasy, but I kept telling myself that we weren’t going to see anything out of the ordinary.
When we got to the house we automatically froze. There was a definite shift in the air. The driveway leading up to the garage was what seemed like miles away. Right outside the driveway were two menacing gargoyles. The first thing that freaked me out was the fact that the swing set was swinging back and forth and there wasn’t any wind we felt. When we finally trudged up the driveway, in the back yard were a line of graves and two live size statues of Jesus and Mary. But again, we laughed it off and went back down to our bikes. Then the sun started setting.
After, we kind of just poked around in the mailbox and me and Julianne wanted to just kind of scope out the driveway. Then it got cold very suddenly. The farther we walked up the driveway, the louder this laughter, got. It sounded like a bunch of kids were just running around screaming and laughing and talking. It go to a point where it hurt our ears. Then we kind of just gazed into the woods to try and spot any kids that could be making all that noise. We didn’t see anything. I took my gaze off the woods before them, and a few feet off, standing next to one of the trees was a woman with black hair and a white flowing dress. She wasn’t there before. I was so scared I burst into tears and ran into the other direction. My friends chased after me, wondering what was wrong. All I could studder was “You didn’t see her?” They both shook there heads no. Not long after, when we got home, we researched and found out that the man and woman in the house, both were dead from unknown causes. Also, we went on google maps and typed in the address of the house, to hopefully see a house next door that could have held the children making all the noise. We looked and looked but all there was was trees and more trees. There was no explanation for the kids laughter.
